 Summary:

The IT Manager will be responsible for establishing vendor management best practices focusing on working cohesively with our current outsourced managed service provider (MSP) to ensure that our company is using the most up-to-date technology for operational efficiency. The IT manager will be responsible for ensuring that the hardware and software used by our company is compatible, secure, functional, and scalable. The IT Manager will also be responsible for managing our internal network and providing support for our staff.  The IT Manager will be the primary point of contact for executives in our C-Suite (CEO, CFO, COO, CMO, and CCO) to resolve IT issues encountered by our executives.

 Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and networks, including, but not limited to: videoconferencing technology and other audio/video equipment, cubicle-based multi-monitor workspaces, and laptops for remote employees
  • Coordinate with the MSP to disseminate IT trainings and manage training completeness to ensure all employees are fulfilling training requirements in a timely fashion
  • Develop and implement policies driven by industry best practices related to network security, disaster recovery, business continuity, and IT infrastructure
  • Oversee the Company’s domain registrations and WordPress platform
  • Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance
  • Establish, measure, and define IT goals and maintain an IT roadmap
  • Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the Company
  • Work with the MSP to coordinate the activities of the IT Help Desk to ensure the IT needs of users are met in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate directly with C-Suite executives to resolve time-sensitive IT issues
  • Flexibility to be available for emergency IT-related issues, including potentially outside of ordinary business hours on an as-needed basis
  • Manage development projects to integrate new technologies and cloud-based applications into existing systems
  • Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components
  • Establish a security policy to protect Company information and resources, including managing the process of obtaining cybersecurity insurance
  • Manage the process of onboarding/offboarding of employees, including the process of coordinating with the MSP to obtain new hardware (laptops, monitors, etc.) for new employees.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience or Associate’s degree in IT or related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of industry best practices related to the maintenance of computer hardware and software systems
  • Experience with network administration
  • Familiarity with our software platforms including Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud, and WordPress
